Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon Professional Grade Line does have some negative qualities which is very similar to other fluorocarbon lines.

Cold water temperatures or cold air temperatures can cause the line to get rigid and brittle. I would recommend not using fluorocarbon when water temps are below 40 degrees. The other negative quality of Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon Professional Grade Line is that you must spool the line correctly or you run the risk of having major twist in your spinning reel.

If you happen to run into this issue, simply cut your fishing lure off and trail the line behind the boat and let your line out. Then, you can wind the line back in after all the twist is gone.

Seaguar certainly has the clearest fluorocarbon that I have found on the market. I really like to use this line when I am fishing floating docks with clear water. Just like the name says this line is tough as nails. This is my go to line when fishing floating docks on super clear lakes. Skipping baits under and to the back of docks is hard, but when you hook a giant fish I can be sure that my line can withstand chaffing off a fish from metal pilings. The extra abrasion resistance is key and my go to for these situations.

The price is the major problem that I have with this fluorocarbon. At $25 plus for a spool I would rather just re-spool my reel twice with other lines for the price. As with other fluorocarbon fishing lines cold weather really likes to cause a rigid line. I would avoid it during the winter months.            

P-Line practically wrote the book with fluorocarbon fishing lines for bass fishing so they naturally have a really great product.
